Recipe from David Snyder, www.davidsnyder.info
Yield: 1 Servings
My favorite tropical drink, courtesy of Cuba.
| 1 Lime |
2 Shots White Rum |
| 1-1/2 Tablespoon Sugar Syrup |
Ice Cubes |
| 2 Sprigs Fresh Mint |
Club Soda |
Squeeze juice from lime into a pint-sized glass and add sugar syrup. Strip leaves from mint sprigs, and lightly crush by twisting in your fingers. Add mint and rum to glass, then fill with ice cubes. Pour club soda over ice cubes to fill glass. Give it a quick stir, and serve. To make sugar syrup: heat 1/2 cup of water to boiling in a sauce pan. Turn off heat and add 1/2 cup white sugar. Stir until dissolved, then cool. Sugar syrup may be stored in refrigerator.
