Margarita Marinade

This is an excellent marinade for grilled shrimp or chicken. For best results, do not marinade for more than 30 minutes (the lime juice will pickle the meat). Regularly stir and spoon the excess marinade over the shrimp/meat while grilling in order to coat it with ground chiles.

1/4 Cup Oil -Squeezed
1/4 Cup Rice Vinegar 1 Tablespoon Red Chile, Ground
1/4 Cup Tequila 2 Clove Garlic, Minced
2 Tablespoon Lime Juice, Freshly 1/2 Teaspoon Salt

Combine all ingredients and use as a marinade per recipe instructions. Experiment with different varieties and mixes of red chile to vary the flavor and spiciness of the dish. Do not substitute chili powder (which has other herbs and seasonings) in place of the ground chile.
